The Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO) will be holding a legislative breakfast on February 21st, 2018. The event is free and open to legislators and the public. Breakfast and coffee will be served.
The protection of civil rights is more important now than ever. A long-overdue national conversation regarding sexual harassment has been started. There has been a spike in religious, racial, and gender identity discrimination not only on a national level, but here in Connecticut as well. With signals of a shift in the federal government’s civil rights priorities, states must ensure that every effort is made to protect the rights of those within their borders.
We invite all those interested in civil rights issues to join us for our legislative breakfast to learn about CHRO’s efforts to ensure that everyone is treated with equality and respect in Connecticut.
